For those of you who read my blog, you may remember me mentioning that I was asked to make a "knight-themed" name banner for a little boy who was really into knights! I had so much fun and this is the end result....
I've also been given another challenge of making a tractor name banner for a little boys new room in his new house so spent a couple of hours drawing and cutting tractors the other night!! Hoping that one turns out well too!
I'm attending another fair next week so will post more photos of my stall. Other than that, at the moment we are play-doh-ing, going swimming, visiting farms and all the other stuff kids love in the summer holidays! Unfortunately, that means sewing time is down to a minimum, booo!!
A few people have given me some good advice on where to find good crochet tutorials too, so Im hoping to give that a go on a quiet day one day in the hopefully not too distant future. I will make that baby blanket before my kids grow up!!
Hope you are all well and a huge HELLO to all my followers old and new *waves*

Im very proud to receive...
...the award for...
Thank you so much to Becky at The Fluff Pot! Im thrilled and so excited to win my second award, makes me think maybe Im not talking to myself!!
Anyway, the award means I have to share another seven interesting/random facts about myself. I'll try not to duplicate from before so here goes...
1. I've recently joined Weight Watchers and need to lose two stone by October as we have a holiday booked!
2. My favourite music at the moment is Adele but I secretly love Simply Red and Wet Wet Wet (dont blame me, I was brainwashed as a child!).
3. I am dying to learn how to crochet, was never interested when my mum tried to teach me as a kid but now I really want to make the girls pink blankets! They have one my lovely mother-in-law made for Lillie but Madison always steals it and it causes rows!
4. My sister is by far, my bestest friend in the whole world, gives me so much support in whatever I do and I can tell her everything! (She has a fab blog too! Take a look here).
My lovely sister and gorgeous handsome nephew! |
Struggling now....
5. If I won the lottery, the first thing I'd buy is a big house in the country and have lots more children to fill it!!
6. My favourite colour is yellow although you wouldnt think it by the amount of pink stuff I make.
7. My favourite meal is sausage casserole and mashed potato - my sister makes a mean sausage casserole!
Phew, think thats random enough! Now I have to think long and hard about who to pass the award on to. Im going to struggle to narrow it down to seven blogs I love!!

The Wedding!
Not mine, but I was as nervous as if it was!! My lovely best friend Sian got married recently and I was honoured to be asked to be her bridesmaid, along with my oldest daughter, Madison.
It was such a perfect day, I cant even begin to tell you how much hard work Sian put in. Even the weather dried up in time for photos!
Wont bore you with too many wedding pics but just wanted to show you how lovely it all was
In other crafty news, I've finished the knight-themed banner! It turned out exactly as I'd hoped. Just have a few finished touches to put onto it then I can post pictures.
I've also been asked to make a monster themed name banner, a pink and turquoise themed banner and a tractor one, so I'm going to be a busy bee in the next few weeks! Cant wait to get started.
Thanks for reading! x x

Just a quick post and a bit of advice please!
Ok so since I've been into this blogging and crafting malarky I've noticed nearly everyone can crochet. Except me.
My sister has a lovely crocheted blanket for my gorgeous nephew and I want to be able to make the traditional baby blankets my nanna used to make. Im always after trying new crafty things and this is something that just boggles my mind!
So, please, if anyone can help or point me in the direction of a tutorial that might help, I'd be very grateful!!
Thanks in advance! x x

Craft Show Chaos!
Actually, it wasnt so much chaotic as expensive as I took Madison with me to my most recent craft show! Its only my third ever craft show and first time at the Langstone Village Craft Fair so I was a bit uncertain on how to set my stall up, who else would be there etc. etc. I didnt need to worry though as I met some lovely people and had a lovely afternoon. I signed up for the next one straight away!
Here are a few pictures of my stall (I love looking at other peoples craft stalls!)
Looking at the pictures I feel like more height is needed on my stall as its looking quite flat. Oh well, something to work on for next time!
I had a lovely order from a fellow stall holder whilst at the craft fair. Her son is really into Knights at the moment so she asked if I could design some sort of knight themed name banner. I've had loads of fun with this and am looking forward to posting the finished result!
Think Im nearly updated on everything, just the wedding to post about now!
Thanks for reading x x

Phew!
And....breathe! I've had such a busy few weeks I've had to keep reminding myself to do just that, and eat and drink and...., well, you get the picture.
As a result of such a busy time, I've got so much to share I really dont know what to tell you about first!!
I've been dying to blog about a Handmade Swap I've taken part in recently and a lovely friend I've made too. On one of the many blogs I follow, Craftaholics Anonymous a little while ago I joined in a lovely swap where you could send anything handmade to your partner. I was partnered up with a lovely lady called Jane and we've been swapping emails since. She runs a lovely site called Kooks Ginger Boy, take a look as she makes beautiful things. Its so nice to chat to someone about crafty stuff! As much as my husband listens, Im sure he's not interested, and my girls are a bit little at the moment! Anyway, here is what she made me and, as Im sure you can imagine, Im so so thrilled with what she's made just for me.
Im sure you'll agree, I was very lucky in this swap! Im ashamed to say that, due to being so so busy lately, I've only just posted my handmade item. Plus, I had to start again as the project I had in mind wasnt working out as I had it in my head, if you see what I mean??!
I wont bore you with anymore about what I've been up to but will post again soon about my eventful couple of weeks (as a bit of a preview, they include a craft fair and a wedding!!)
Thanks, as always, for reading!
